Clear Velvet Matte Polycarbonate Film is a dual-finish polycarbonate substrate: velvet matte on one side, clear gloss on the other. It is engineered for applications where surface diffusion, printability, and durability all matter. At gauges from 0.010" to 0.030", it is thin enough to install flat against a surface but tough enough to resist cracking, snapping, or tearing under repeated contact and impact. The matte surface accepts print cleanly and reduces glare, making it a reliable choice for graphic overlays, instrument panel covers, printed decals, and nameplates. In commercial interiors, it is widely used as a wall protection film, applied to lobby walls, hotel corridors, and high-traffic surfaces where a durable, cleanable, low-sheen finish is required.
The film can be printed on, die-cut, and thermoformed for precision fabrication work. It cannot be laser cut. Field installation is straightforward: the film cuts cleanly with a utility knife or exacto blade, no shop equipment required, making it practical for on-site wall covering and surface protection applications. The clear gloss reverse side provides a smooth backing surface for adhesive mounting or layered assemblies.
Full sheets are stocked at 24" × 48" in four gauges: 0.010", 0.015", 0.020", and 0.030". Available at CPC's Canal Street location and online.
